Chicago-born artist Shayna Fontana is a conceptual artist whose practice focuses on surrealist photography.Fontana quickly establishing a career shooting fashion editorials and advertisements in New York City with clients that include Gucci, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar. Now based in Dallas, Fontana has become acclaimed for her perspective-shifting fine-art photography, using a singular point of view and fresh perspective to reimagine and reframe ordinary items—shoes, cherries, tennis rackets—into dynamic objects. Her collaboration with Prospect continues Fontana’s exploration of the boundaries at the intersection of art and the everyday.
